Our tuition workshops are practical, interactive and engaging. Where possible, our facilitators will incorporate in-country legislation and best practices as well as provide you with supplementary study material that are specific to the Southern and Eastern African regions. About Navigate Compliance

Navigate Compliance is a South African based training and advisory firm with a keen focus on regulatory compliance. It was established in 2016 with the purpose of providing customised and cost-effective advisory and training solutions to clients across different sectors and regions. Navigate is a training partner for professional bodies and private higher educational institutions in Southern Africa and is the regional training partner for the International Compliance Association. Through this partnership, we will deliver credit-based regulatory qualifications and CPD training to the Southern and Eastern African regions.

Certificates are designed for those with little or no knowledge of the subject area. They provide a strong foundation in understanding the key concepts and issues involved and are an excellent base from which to progress onto courses at a higher level.

Certificate courses do not have an intake date and are available for enrolment at any time of the year.

Introductory level

• Open to anyone wishing to learn more about the subject

• Up to three months to complete the course

• One-day workshop (where offered)

• One-hour multiple-choice exam taken online

Diplomas

Diplomas are primarily designed for those who already hold some relevant experience and are looking to develop more specialist skills in the management of risk.

Advanced level (Honours)

  • Open to those who either hold a degree, an ICA Advanced Certificate or who have three years’ relevant work experience
  • Nine months’ duration
  • Four workshops
  • Three written assignments (each 3,000–3,500 words in length)

Postgraduate Diploma

Postgraduate Diploma 

This programme is designed to establish a gold standard of the most senior practitioners working within regulatory compliance roles. Suitable applicants are required to be operating at the most senior level and have substantial experience both as practitioners and at a senior level. Applicants for the programme, therefore, must:

  • hold a (first) degree and be a senior practitioner (i.e. hold a senior management role) with at least three years’ experience in that role or at the equivalent level of seniority; or
  • possess an ICA Diploma and have at least five years’ experience in a related discipline and currently work in a role that includes senior level responsibilities and regular engagement with senior practitioners; or
  • have at least ten years’ experience in a relevant senior management role.

The International Compliance Association (ICA), the leading professional body for the global regulatory and financial crime compliance community, has partnered with the International Cyber Threat Task Force (ICTTF) to offer a new programme in cyber risk management.

The new 8-week online programme from the ICTTF, which is suitable for managers in either the first or second line of defence, covers a range of topics from identification of cyber risks through to risk management options. The course has been designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need in order to protect the digital assets of their organisation and support the efforts of or lead the implementation of a cyber risk framework.

Application Process

At present, we have a manual customised application process which allows both the ICA and Navigate to be involved in the process.

 

Step 1: Make your selection

Browse the courses on offer and select the course/s that best meets your needs and career objectives.

 

Step 2: Complete and submit the manual application form

Step 3:  An invoice will be issued by the ICA

To simplify matters, we have requested that all courses be quoted in Pounds and payment made directly to the ICA

 

Step 4: Await your welcome pack

Once the application has been processed and payment made, the ICA will send you a welcome pack which provides details on the course and learner portal.

 

Step 5: Start your study journey

The learner portal is an interactive platform where you can access your study material, assignment and assessment questions as well as have discussions with your tutor and other learners. Workshop dates will be communicated to you before the intake closure date. Workshops may be facilitated online or face to face.
